Now a new plan has been outlined suggesting it’s time Brum had its own.

The editor of CityMetric, an arm of the New Statesman, has outlined how he sees it could work for what is one of Europe’s fastest growing cities.

In London, the new – largely underground – Crossrail project is connecting the home counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Essex, with London.
